Blue & purple Liebster Award badge

I was so thrilled to receive The Liebster Award Nomination from Baby and the Boardroom recently. I've only been blogging for three months so to be nominated for an award and know that someone loves what I do is amazing to hear. Baby and the Boardroom has been so supportive to me and has given me the chance to write my first Guest Post, which should be going live soon, so I feel especially honoured to have received this nomination from them.

For anyone that doesn't know, the rules of the Liebster Award are as follows:

Thank the person who nominated you, and put a link to their blog on your blog.

Display the award on your blog.

For the 2017 Liebster Award, I will be shaking things up! Write a 150-300 word post about your favourite blog that is not your own. Explain why you like the blog, provide links.

Provide 10 random facts about yourself.

Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 200 followers.

List these rules in your post.

Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award.

It's really difficult to choose one favourite blog as there are so many amazing and talented bloggers out there. However, one I absolutely love is Me, being Mummy run by the lovely Lucy. Lucy's blog is probably the one I visit the most often. She blogs about a variety of topics and I love her weekly updates where I get to read all about what her and her family have been up to during the week. She's such a busy lady and I'm in awe of how much she manages to fit in in one week! Lucy also runs the #HoneyBeeLinky which opens every Monday. It was the first ever linky that I joined and I've been addicted to them ever since. If I'm busy and struggling to find time to join any linkies, I always make sure I squeeze in joining the #HoneyBeeLinky as it's a great community and set of bloggers who join her over there. Lucy always comments on linked up posts and is very supportive, so if you haven't checked out her blog, please do so.

Now for 10 random facts about myself!

1. I'll only eat melted cheese and can't stand it if it's not melted.

2. I went abroad for the first time when I was 25.

3. I'm short-sighted.

4. I didn't go to university because I had no idea what I wanted to study.

5. I don't drink alcohol.

6. My favourite teddy when I was a child was called Freddie.

7. I've never watched a James Bond movie.

8. It took me three attempts to pass my driving test.

9. I love to bake.

10. I've never changed my hair colour.

In my nomination, I was asked to answer the following questions:

If you could re-live just one day of your life, which day would you choose and why?
Good question! I think it would be the day we moved into our own house and then the following day when we went and picked up our dog. That whole weekend is just a blur to me and I don't really remember any of it, so I'd like to live it again and this time enjoy it!

Who would you share your last rolo with?
It would have to be my other half.

What is your biggest ambition in life?
To be a good mum and partner to my other half.

What is your biggest fear in life?
Snakes! I can't stand them.

What’s been your favourite holiday to date?
I've got two! Both times we went to Dorset. I've blogged about both trips here and here. The second time we went we took our dog and we all had a great time. We've done two holidays abroad as a couple, but we much prefer our holidays in the UK - we like our home comforts and UK TV too much!

If you could only save one outfit from your wardrobe what would it be?
It's not really an outfit, but I'd save my pyjamas - I can't be without them! Ha ha!

If Bear Grylls kidnapped you, dropped you on a desert island and offered you a plus one, who would you want with you? (Celebrities included – knock yourselves out with the choice!)
It would have to be my other half as he's the only one that would be able to keep my calm and we work well together as a team.

Which word do you use the most in a day?
Right! I think I say it at the start of every sentence before I say what we're going to do, such as 'Right, let's go and get dressed now.' My dog has definitely picked up on this too. Every time I say it, he gets up and waits for me to start doing whatever it is I'm planning to do.

If you won the lottery (silly mega bucks type win, not £2.30 for two numbers) what would genuinely be your first purchase?
A conservatory. I really really want one on the back of our kitchen. I'd move the dining table in there and then I'd have a new kitchen and utilise the space currently occupied by the dining table with worktops and cupboards.

What does ‘a happy life’ look like to you?
Being with my partner, our daughter and our dog. They make me the happiest in the world.

What is your one biggest regret?
Not asking for pain relief sooner during child birth! I literally screamed my way through it and only got Pethadine a few minutes before little one was born so it had no effect.

Now it's time for me to nominate bloggers for the Liebster Award. My nominations go to:

My questions for these lovely bloggers to answer are:

1. What was the reasons behind starting your blog?
2. How did you decide on your blog name?
3. If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
4. What is your favourite TV show and why?
5. Which one person do you look up to the most and why?
6. If you were given £1000 to spend on whatever you wanted, what would you buy and why?
7. What age were you when you passed your driving test?
8. Describe your perfect weekend.

Once again, a big thank you to Baby and the Boardroom for the nomination!
